Stone wool insulation

Description

The FIBRANgeo B-001 semi-rigid stone wool board is a natural, inorganic, fibrous thermal insulation material made from mineral wool, in accordance with EN 13162. The stiffest board in the range combines top-class thermal insulation (λD = 0.033 W/mK), fire class A1 and excellent sound absorption (αw = 1.00 · NRC = 1.00), with the highest airflow resistance in the range (AFr ≥ 50) — available from 20 mm for ventilated façades.

ARGYNET LAB framing: The B-001 is the top-of-the-range product in the FIBRANgeo series in terms of rigidity: a λD of 0.033 and the highest air flow resistance (AFr ≥ 50) make it the preferred choice for ventilated façades (marble, decorative bricks, tiles, metal panels), where the insulation is exposed behind the cladding. At ARGYNET, we scale the selection from B-040 → B-050 → B-570 → B-001 as required, with system-level documentation.

Overview

Key Features

- Top-grade thermal insulation — declared λD = 0.033 W/(mK)

- Non-combustible material — reaction to fire class A1 (EN 13501-1) with high fire resistance

- Superior sound absorption — αw = 1.00 (Class A), NRC = 1.00

- The most rigid semi-rigid board — ideal for ventilated façades

- Highest airflow resistance in the range — AFr ≥ 50 kPa·s/m²

- Available from 20 mm to 300 mm

- Excellent vapour permeability (μ = 1) — dehumidification of building elements & passive ventilation

- Water-repellent & non-hygroscopic (WS < 1 kg/m², WL(P) < 3 kg/m²)

- Fibre softening point > 1000 °C · Natural, recyclable (EUCEB)

Available coatings (on one side):

- AL (aluminium foil reinforced with glass fibre mesh)

- AX (aluminium foil reinforced with glass fibre mesh)

- YM (black glass fibre)

- YA (white glass fibre)

- XA (Kraft paper).

The uncoated product complies with the stated technical specifications.
